The authors of the initiative claim that Russian-language music is a "инструментом культурного влияния" ("instrument of cultural influence") and an element of "мягкой силы" ("soft power"), which Russia uses to promote its interests and strengthen its position in the information space.

Petition demands: legislative restrictions

Signatories are calling for legislative regulation of the issue, similar to the bans already introduced in the television and radio sectors. They insist on the need for restrictions on Russian-language music content to reduce its influence on the audience and exclude it from public space.

Once the required number of signatures has been collected, the petition must be reviewed by the competent authorities.
