Neil Young cancels free concert in Kyiv

Neil Young, the legendary 79-year-old musician, announced the cancellation of his free concert in Kyiv, which was scheduled to take place in the coming days. 

Known for his outspoken views and charitable initiatives, the artist was set to perform in the Ukrainian capital with the band Chrome Hearts. However, according to Neil Young himself, a dramatic change in the situation forced him to alter his plans.

Reasons for withdrawal: safety and changes in the situation

"We had a great spot for the concert, close to a shelter. However, the situation on the ground changed too much, and I could not in good conscience bring my crew and instruments to that area. I apologise to everyone," Young stated in his statement.

The artist expressed respect for Ukraine, emphasising that the country has a good leader and is a great nation.
