New scandal erupts around Ani Lorak

A new scandal has erupted around the famous singer Ani Lorak. Recently, it became known that the publication VIVA decided to revive the "Viva! Most Beautiful" award. Ani Lorak was among the nominees, despite having held the unofficial status of a persona non grata in Ukraine for several years.

Fans were outraged that the artist made the list and demanded that Lorak be removed from the nominations. However, the publication's editor-in-chief, Ivanna Slaboshpytska, stated on her social media page that their team has no intention of participating in the bullying of performers. The publication aims to remain objective, and Ani Lorak remains one of the most popular Ukrainian singers. According to search engine data, she is in the top tier of the country's most in-demand artists; her songs can be heard on radio stations, and her music videos are seen on television channels.

This was the basis for including Lorak among the nominees.

The singer herself has not commented on the situation.
