VIA Gry lead singer caught smuggling

Lead singer of the group “VIA Gry” Erika Hertseg was caught smuggling. During customs control, approximately one million hryvnia was found on the woman, which the performer had not included in her declaration.

This became the basis for the confiscation of the funds. The money will go into the state budget. Such a ruling was issued by the Kyiv Regional Court of Appeal. A copy of the decision is available in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.

According to the document, the artist attempted to cross the border with one million in her hand luggage on 20 March last year.

The performer arrived in Ukraine from Almaty with the cash. Her baggage contained $29,800, €12,500 and 15,000 roubles. Most of the funds were confiscated. The performer was allowed to keep only €10,000, which is permitted to be carried without declaration.
