Famous actor and star of the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" Alexei Batalov has been rushed to hospital in one of the clinics in the Russian capital.

The 88-year-old artist recently underwent joint surgery, but complications have now arisen.

According to medical staff, Alexei Batalov's condition is assessed as moderate. Doctors are doing everything possible to ease the artist's condition and help him return to a normal life.

Preliminary forecasts suggest that the actor will remain in hospital for at least two weeks.
